|
For meritorious and outstanding services
and accomplishments. Service may be Military performance in direct
support of the State Military Forces.

Phenix City Civil Disturbance Medal
|
For military duty and meritorious service
during the Phenix City Civil Disturbance period 18 June 1954 to 17
January 1955.

Operation
Desert Storm Ribbon
|
For members of the Alabama Air & Army
National Guard, in direct support of Operations Desert Storm and
Shield.
|
Veterans Service Medal
|
Aggregate of 21 years active service in
the Alabama National Guard, including constructive service in
organizations of the National Guard while called, drafted or ordered
in service of the United States.
|
National Emergency Service Medal
|
For award to members of the Alabama
National Guard called into active federal service during the "Berlin
Crisis" national emergency.
|
Special Service Medal
|
For an aggregate of 30 days in the active
military service of the State, upholding the law & preserving order,
protecting lives & property in the aid and relief of civilians in
disaster & similar service duty ordered by the Governor. May also be
awarded for such special individual acts as the State Military
Department determines to be meritorious and the Governor may approve
without regard to the period of time involved or date of the act.

Faithful Service Medal
|
For an aggregate of six years faithful
active service in the Alabama National Guard, including constructive
service in organizations of the National Guard while called, drafted
or ordered into the service of the United States.

Alabama State Military Department
Recruiting Ribbon
|
For securing the enlistment or appointment
of 10 individuals into the Alabama National Guard.
|
Active Duty Basic Training Medal
|
For members of the Alabama National Guard
who have honorable service and who have successfully completed an
Active Duty Training Course while a member of the Alabama National
Guard subsequent to the Calendar Year 1955.

Oak-Leaf Cluster
|
Bronze oak-leaf cluster denotes each
subsequent award of the same decoration. Silver oak-leaf cluster
equals five bronze.
|
Bronze Service Star
|
The bronze service star is authorized for
wear on the Operation Desert Storm Service ribbon for all personnel
deployed to South West Asia.
|
Saint Andrews Cross
|
After award of the Faithful Service Medal,
a Bronze Saint Andrews Cross will be awarded upon completion of each
subsequent three years of service. The cross is worn in the form of an
X. After individual has earned five
bronze crosses a Silver Saint Andrews Cross will be worn. When both
silver and bronze crosses are worn, silver takes precedence.
