IG Mission

The State Inspector General is a Regular Army Colonel detailed by the Department of the Army and the National Guard Bureau. The IG is the confidential advisor to The Adjutant General and an impartial fact finder on matters relating to morale, readiness, conduct and esprit de corps of the Army and Air National Guard. The IG office provides assistance to members of the Alabama National Guard by way of performing inquires as needed, investigations, and compliance inspections of units. We are committed to providing the members of the National Guard with instructions and guidance of the Army and National Guard systems, procedures, and process.
